iPhone AppleCare protection plans will become available sometime this month from the Apple Store (click “Warranty”) for $69 per year.
An iPhone AppleCare plan will cover hardware repairs for your iPhone through the first year after your one-year limited warranty expires.
Apple says iPhone AppleCare plans will include coverage for the iPhone battery as well. That means you won’t have to pay $86 for a replacement iPhone battery once yours dies after 400 charges.
So if you plan to keep your iPhone for a while, an AppleCare plan may be a better buy, at $69, than an iPhone replacement battery for $86.
Plus, if you’re one of those who goes without an iPhone case because you like to show off your shiny, naked new gadget, an iPhone AppleCare plan will give you a lot less to stress about.
“Customers can purchase the AppleCare Protection Plan anytime during the iPhone one-year limited warranty,” says Apple.
The Applecare protection plan for an iPhone is a one time charge of $69 not per year cause you can only get it for 1 yr. It doesn’t cover accidental damage lost or stolen but does extend your hardware and phone support cause the iPhone comes with 90 days of phone support but without APP it is $29 dollars a phone call without APP. There are 3rd party warranties online that do offered one that will cover lost or stolen.
i purchased the applecare protection plan for my iphone i had assumed that this plan was just like insurance but i would soon find out that wasnt the case. My phone was stolen out of my truck as soon as i got home i called and asked if i was covered shocked to find out that the protection plan is nothing like insurance acording to the sales man on the phone at a apple store in my opinion the only reason to get the protection plan is if you want to throw away 70 dollers…
Unfortunately not, wasiq.
if the phone is dropped is it covered by the apple care protection plan
