You’ve told me what you think of the iPhone. Now you can tell Apple.
In an email today, the company asks iPhone owners to “tell us how you like your new iPhone.”
Apple and AT&T sent out e-mails introducing a new “iPhone Guided Tour” video on the Apple site. Download the 24-minute video in high definition on the Apple site or just watch the 3-part tour below:
Apple “is wrestling with” the idea of allowing third-party software on the iPhone, according to Steve Jobs at an Apple shareholders meeting in Cupertino yesterday. I’m on vacation now, so more on this later. Ciao from Italy!
In response to criticism from environmental groups, especially Greenpeace, Steve Jobs announced Apple will reduce its waste and become more eco-friendly.
In an open letter posted on the Apple site, Jobs said the company will minimize its use of toxic chemicals like lead, cadmium, arsenic and mercury in its new products.
The results of a recent Markitecture survey have many bloggers lamenting that “only 6%” of the mobile phone market plan to buy the iPhone in 2007.
Clearly, no one is doing the math, because based on year-end 2005 statistics, there are now over 200 million mobile phone users in the U.S. Six percent of 200 million equals 12 million users “likely to buy the iPhone within the next year.”
By those measures, Apple’s goal to sell 10 million iPhones by 2007’s end will be surpassed by an additional 2 million or more phones.
Two photos presumably taken with an Apple iPhone surfaced on Flickr last Saturday, as revealed by MobileGuerilla.
There’s been ongoing speculation about whether the photos were actually taken on an iPhone. I looked into it and now have proof (or at least very strong evidence) that they were.
